Who are the Whiz Kids?

During a time travel mission, five brilliant scientists from the Department of Advance Research Projects Agency (DARPA) accidentally reverted to their teen selves (and one into a bear). Choosing to continue on with their work, these five do what they can to advance scientific research and investigations in the name of peace and mankind.

While not official field operatives, they often find themselves caught in the middle of difficult situations that require them to use their knowledge in Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM) to save the day.

Isaac Juan Lee, Physicist, is the oldest of the group and the defacto leader as he is the clearest thinker and most level headed member. He grew up in New York City's Chinatown and attended M.I.T. He joined DARPA after working for a few years at NASA. Unshakably loyal to his friends, Isaac is a fierce opponent of bullying and discrimination especially against people who are different. As a child, Isaac was diagnosed with Asperger's Syndrome but through treatment and therapy has become quite socially adept and a capable leader.

Constantina "Cody" Krilienko, Computer Scientist (hacker), is Isaac's best friend from high school. After getting into trouble a few times with the FBI, Cody was recruited by the bureau but was quickly disillusioned by the work. It was at this time that Isaac brought Cody into DARPA. Cody often functions as second-in-command despite a brutally sharp sarcastic wit.

Quentin Branch, Mechanical Engineer, hails from the beautiful state of Hawaii. He holds several degrees from Stanford University and Caltech. Serving as the unofficial quartermaster of the group, Quentin is the most optimistic and youngest member of the team and is heavily into comic books and science fiction.

Rosita “Rosie” Stone, Linguist, the newest member of the group. Fluent in over a dozen languages, Rosie was previously a corporate spy, using her skills for international commercial espionage. A former nemesis of the group, she is the most "street smart" member but has decided to turn over a new leaf and atone for previous deeds by joining and helping her new friends.

Wade Cross, Psychologist, is a brilliant behavioral scientist whose mind is trapped inside the body of an adolescent bear. Ironically, the most sensitive member and an aspiring actor, Wade is constantly struggling to maintain his intellect and humanity while trying to find a way to revert back to his human self.

Originally founded in 1958, DARPA is the scientific research and development branch of the United States government creating and supporting the invention of tools, applications and scientific advancements for use by the intelligence community, the military and the country in general. Among DARPA's contributions to the world are the computer mouse (1964), the Internet (1969), GPS (1983) and Siri (2002).
